I can see George Gershwin with new vision now. His music tells me more than the simple words I might find in a biography.

He had the gift of being able to write music that would live through the coming ages. His secret was that he was a student of human nature, and he knew about human needs.

He knew that everybody needed someone to commiserate with, and he provided songs that related to the desires and disappointments of everyday people. The arrangements are my own, influenced by Gershwin's own style. Some songs are more dreamy and romantic perhaps but, who knows, I think he would have concurred with the romantic treatment of the songs.
